This is a great little campground that we happened to find just by chance. Friends of ours had bought their first camper and were anxious to try it out. They too have dogs, but they had never taken them camping before. Needless to say, dogs were our top priority on this trip. With a little online research, we found this little gem in the heart of Florida's horse country. If your are looking for a couple day getaway and you have a dog, this is a good place to go. They have a fenced in area to let the dogs run without a leash, a doggie bath, a doggie pool, and even pet sitting services. For the people there is a heated pool and a few walking trails. In the office are a some RV supplies and the staff is very friendly. They have nicely paved roads so the kids were able to ride their trikes in the absence of a playground. This is a private park so there are some full-timers and snowbirds who spend their winters at the park. General rule of thumb; if there are full timers staying at the campground, be respectful of quiet hours so you don't get in trouble (See Astor Landing). Rates are reasonable for a private park, $29 less 10% Good Sam discount.
