Campsite Review

Miami Everglades Campground; Miami, FL

  • Date:  December 27-30, 2006
  • Length of stay:  3 nights

This is a beautiful, well kept campground with manicured lawns and landscaping.  They have full hook-ups with water, electric, and sewer.  Also included is TV service.  Between rows of sites are nicely paved roads.  Campfires are not permitted, however there is a communal fire ring.  There is a large heated pool and a hot tub.  There is a pizza place on premises as well as a general store with some groceries, RV supplies and souvenirs.  The campground has a certain resort feel to it.  At the time we viewed it as an inexpensive way to see Miami.  We went to the Metro Zoo and also drove into the glades for an airboat ride.  We paid $39 per night, less 10% Good Sam discount.  I was looking at their site, planning a return trip.  The prices are now starting at $52.  That is a little out of our price range.  However, if you are looking for a high class RV resort, look into this one.
